Happy New Year! As we embrace 2024, let us hold fast to what is true! As the calendar resets, it symbolizes a new chapter and a fresh start. The possibilities seem endless. While the unknown may seem daunting to many, when you know Jesus, you can find peace that surpasses all understanding knowing that He is in control. Jesus holds the future and He is holding you. He has a special plan for your life in 2024.
The eternal and true words of God’s Word can lead you through every season of life, whether in moments of joy or challenges. As we embark on the journey of a new year, let's take a moment to explore some Bible verses- undeniable promises from God- that can encourage you in 2024.
Psalm 139:16
"You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed."
Your life is so special! Before the beginning of time, God had a special plan for your life. Each and every moment was orchestrated by Him before any of them began. With this free gift of life, you are not only fully known but embraced with an unwavering and eternal love by your Maker. As you embrace this new year, walk with assurance and peace knowing that you are loved. In the eyes of Jesus, your life is remarkably beautiful and special. God has planned every moment of 2024 for you. Nothing is out of His control.
Isaiah 43:18-19“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
No matter what circumstances you encounter in life, God is not done working. He has a plan for your future, and your past does not define you. When you are in Christ, you are a new creation- the old has passed away and the new has come! (2 Corinthians 5:17). Because of the precious blood of Jesus, you are forgiven. You are free. As you step into 2024, be encouraged with this mindset of God’s redemption. He has the ability to restore broken things. Instead of dwelling on the failures of yesterday, find encouragement and place your trust in Jesus in this very moment. He is actively working and writing a new chapter for your life. As Isaiah reveals, He is doing a new thing! What may appear insurmountable to us is entirely within God's realm of possibility.
Proverbs 16:9

It is easy to plan out every detail of our lives. In the pursuit of meticulously planning the details of our lives, especially as we step into the new year with strategic goals, it's crucial to recognize that, in this very moment, God is holding us. He is intimately aware of all our thoughts and actions- past, present and future. He is in complete control of our lives, understanding us better than we understand ourselves. By surrendering to Jesus, we find true freedom. He determines each step of our life and will guide us through every part of 2024. All that's required is to trust in Him. Surrender. He is fully capable. Simply be still, placing your faith in the unwavering care and character of Jesus. Know that He is God. He will work it all out. (Psalm 46:10)
Psalm 37:3-6
“Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.”
As we embark on the journey of a new year, may each day overflow with faith. Trust Jesus to do the impossible in your life this next year—He is more than capable! Delight yourself in Him, and rest assured that He will never fail you. There's nothing comparable to the intimacy of knowing Jesus, resting in His presence and walking in accordance with His ways. This next year, let every thought, prayer, word and action be glorifying to the name of Jesus. He is worthy. He is worthy to take away all of our sins. He is worthy to help is in our time of need. He is worthy of all of our praise- in 2024 and forevermore!
Philippians 3:14

Let 2024 be a year with our eyes fixed on eternity! A life with Jesus is all about Him, walking closely each day with Him by our side. We have received a divine and everlasting calling, and our life's purpose holds eternal significance! Let every action we undertake be devoted to honoring and glorifying Jesus, actively working to spread His name. May we be unperturbed by the distractions of life that can let us down. Instead, may we keep our focus fixed on Jesus. May He receive all the honor and glory!
